Founded by Melissa Barry, an experienced chandler since 2012, Herbert & Byrne was an expansion of an already successfully established & award winning personalised candle company.

Marketing mostly soy products, Melissa launched Herbert & Byrne as a luxury home fragrance brand. Inspired by her past generations, the name "Herbert & Byrne" has strong links to both Rush & Dublin, an important factor in reflecting both her roots, and the roots of the company.

From our studio in the beautiful coastal town of Rush, Co Dublin, each product is individually hand-made with a little tlc. Whether it's a hand-poured soy wax candle or delicately balanced linen spray, you can be sure it was crafted to our high standards.

We source only the highest quality soy wax and finest fragrance oils for our candles, so they burn clean to the very end.
